Seldom do we feel like not going home when we go home. My friend once said that the best part about traveling is going back home. But now when I am done with the trip and heading home, I don’t feel good. If something gives one a feeling of this nature the magnitude of the magnificence of the cause could be nothing but immense. When Aditya called me and asked if I’d like to join him on his trip to Agumbe, I reluctantly agreed but little did I know that I would be fully glad and thankful that he cared to ask.

Early morning at kundhadhiri.
Agumbe is one of those places where Mother Nature pampers you in her lap. The 5 days, I spent there was complete overdose of scenic beauty and it left me gasping for breath. Though I carried my camera and tried to click some snaps, the beauty I witnessed was way above anything I could capture or could write about. From the 5 days I stayed there I’ve gathered enough of enthralling experiences to write for months. At the same time, I am also afraid that I may not be able to do justice to what I witnessed, for the beauty of Agumbe is way beyond linguistic confinements.

A narrow trail at Onake Abbi.
With this trip, I start a new section in Jala Bula Jux called Places and it shall elaborate on the many travels I make and plan to make.

Kuvempu Manne - House of Kannada Poet Kuvempu.
I will write about Agumbe and near-by places and will upload more photographs too in the days to come.
